Being Led by the Holy Spirit

The key to being led by the holy spirit is attentiveness, submission to God through Christ, and obedience. We have to open our minds and hearts up to allow God’s spirit to tell us WHAT’S NEXT. This means inviting God into your planning time, pulling out your calendar or agenda, and simply asking God what’s next. What would you like me to focus on today or this week?

Any of these questions will allow you to being led by the holy spirit in life and business. I remember when I first received a “divine” download from God while sleeping. Ideas and instructions flooded in. Chapter titles focus, and all that kind of stuff.

I quickly wrote down what I was hearing and started writing my book. I then got another idea and started working on that one and for years these “divine” downloads kept me busy.

Needless to say “divine interventions and intellect” can be overwhelming and confusing at first. But, take it from me…pace yourself and don’t execute ANYTHING until you confirm if this “divine download” is for now or later.

This will save you a lot of time and disappointment. They are usually visions of things yet to come. Most of them are visions to COME meaning they are for later and meant to give you a heads up.

John 16:13 says, “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; He will speak only what he hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.”

So again, pace yourself and get confirmation.

To recap, when I speak about “being led in spirit” I simply mean: “Make my steps steady through Your promise; don’t let sin dominate me.”-Psalms 119:133

Some call emotions intuition, but intuition and the holy spirit are two completely different things. There are times when your intuition is wrong, but the holy spirit is ALWAYS right.

Sure, we should allow wisdom and experience to influence our decisions but not above the holy spirit. That is why it’s important to study the Bible, pray daily, and guard our hearts by being mindful of what we intake physically and spiritually.

It’s hard to know who’s speaking in our heads so I offer you a solution…pray! Test the thought, test the idea with prayer and God’s word. I’ve said the same thing about 3x’s in 3 different ways simply because these principles and actions are the answer to every problem you face! Read, Pray & LISTEN.

Your emotions often sound ambitious, timid, fearful, skeptical, overly optimistic, and or void of faith.

Make sure you do not make decisions based on emotions.

The main reason is that it’s easy to go from spiritual to emotional since no one can hear God except you… only you can hear and feel your emotions. Do you see how confusion could happen?

The only way to gain confidence in being led by the holy spirit in your life and business is through practice and decisiveness.

Decide that you are indeed committed to following God’s lead with business instead of following what the world is teaching about it…this is what brings me to analytics. I am not saying don’t use analytics.

Analytics are necessary for practical reasons. A reputable business knows what is profitable and unprofitable on paper. But, the analytics STAY ON THE PAPER! What do I mean by this? Every month I make a profit plan for my team, which includes income, profits, and overhead expenses. I write it down and let the numbers stay on the paper.

Any deficits or shortages go UP in prayer and I lie to you NOT every single month YAHWEH blesses me and my team with profit margins that BLOW MY MIND!!

Simply put, Do business. Be organized. Be practical. Plan. Execute Keep all performance records up to date. But do not cease praying and asking YAHWEH to intervene and give you abundance where you lack.
