Help I’m Overwhelmed (Tips And Free Activity Inside)

Overwhelmed

Feeling overwhelmed is a common experience, especially when juggling multiple responsibilities and trying to make progress in your business and personal life.

A client recently approached me seeking guidance on creating a generic schedule to fit everything in and become more disciplined. If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not alone.

Navigating Overwhelmed: Tips and a Free Activity to Restore Balance

In this blog post, I’ll share some valuable tips to help you navigate through overwhelm and provide a free reflective activity that can aid in creating a personalized game plan. Let’s dive in!

Can You Do Everything Every Day?

Overwhelmed

The short answer is both Yes and No (my absolute favorite answer). You won’t be able to do everything …every day…that’s the “yes” part. The “no” part is that you can make meaningful progress daily.

Tip#1  Be Led in Spirit

Understand that different seasons of life require different levels of intensity and major focus. Embrace the season you’re in while preparing for the season to come!

Tip#2  Live Day by Day

Practically speaking, living day by day involves seeking guidance through prayer. Pray when you get up. Pray before bed and quiet your spirit to listen to what the Father has to say in response to your prayers because He does speak back to those who have the Holy Spirit.

Tip#3 Unplug!

Get comfortable with being alone. It’s called consecration and a shedding period, some of you need to make this a lifestyle while some of you need to implement annual or quarterly seasons that will allow you to replenish your spirit and recover from LIFE! Discern which option is best for you and your calling and implement it.

Reflective Exercise

Overwhelmed

To gain clarity and set priorities, engage in a reflective exercise. Grab a piece of paper and do the following:

  • Define what success looks like in the major roles and categories of your life (e.g., personal, spiritual, relationships/marriage, professional, familial/friendship).
  • Develop your own success rubric using these categories.

Create a Game Plan

Take a look at what you wrote down and choose 1-2 things from each of your answers that you can implement in the next 2 weeks.

Decide what new improvements you will implement this week and next week. Actually execute the strategy you just came up with!

Take Action and Share Feedback

Put your game plan into action. Implement the strategies you’ve developed and observe the impact they have on your life. Remember, progress is a journey, and each step forward counts. If you found this exercise helpful, I’d love to hear your feedback.
