Being a womanpreneur can be both a blessing and a curse. Often, the struggle to find the right balance between offering affordable services and charging what you’re worth can lead to the vicious cycle of undercharging, burnout, and feeling stuck.

At the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, I started out offering too many services at a low price because I am multi-talented. I had zero testimonials or tangible proof that I am good at what I do, so I allowed that to be my excuse for why I am offering so-called affordable services.

Fast forward. I set my services and my prices then I started promoting myself 1x or 2x a week. Crickets. I reached out to other women in Facebook groups inquiring about the same services I provide (and I won’t lie I even pursued those inquiring about services I do not provide but COULD provide).

After getting either ghosted or hearing different versions of no I was left wondering: Why isn’t anybody inquiring about my services or actually paying for my services? I mean come on they are affordable and I am good at what I do. So of course I went looking for answers on Instagram, Youtube, and LinkedIn. There I found out that everything that I was doing was wrong… I was left feeling overwhelmed and thinking:

  • Where do I start?
  • How can I fix all of this and still make money?
  • Am I even supposed to be in business?
  • Should I quit this and go back to work?

To find answers, I opted into the freebies and joined a few coach’s newsletters only to find that their prices were out of my comfort zone and then tried to excel on my own.
